We are pet sitting for my daughter's cat, Goose. He is under a vet's care. He was dxd with irritable bowel disease. When they flew to our home a week later we took him to the vet for an exam because he was not eating. All Goose's former med records were provided to our new "vet." By Nature, just recently. Because we lost our cat, Dylan, to the tainted (poison) pet food 2 years ago, I am worried about what to feed him. By Nature, she buys it at Petsmart/Pectco, she lives out of state. My stores do not carry it.

You'll laugh at this. I have friends that moved to Israel. They have the little girls that used to play with the dogs. One of them is destine to be a Vet. In Israel they have a big problem with feral cats. The religious people do not believe that animals should be spay or neutered. So there is thousands and thousands of feral cats.

Anyway, the little girl found a week old kitten abandoned by it's mother.With her own money took it to a vet. She found a English speaking vet....

stupid questions

My question is stupid. But I am don't have any other ideas. All the dogs escpially Jumper are itching. They don't have fleas. Could they have mites? How do I tell? How do I treat? Will flea drops kill it? Poor Jumper is miserable. They are on the same diet food they have been on for 2 years. So no food changes. Any ideas?

Chablis (Beanie) Heart Update

Well we are almost at 1 month since our Beanie went into heart failure that very scary night. During the past 3 weeks Chablis had a heart & lung ultra sound, complete blood panel & weekly chest xrays to watch the amount of fluid around her heart. My vet called me and asked if I could help spread the word. He is a in a rural clinic and the owner drives alot. So would not be able to care for the dog. We are working to get a pic of him. The vet tech I talked to just a minute ago said this is such a sweetest dog, without a mean bone in his body.
The clock is ticking on him. Spread the word and cross post please.

Hi ladies.....
Have a question for you guys regarding food. Have a friend with a little ShihTzu who has food allergies ( wheat, soy, chicken, flaxseed, barley, brewers yeast, eggs, white potato) which causes IBS if she gets anything with those ingredients in it. On top of this issue, she now has crystals in her urine, with 2 back to back infections. The first choice of course would be the Royal Canin S/O which her vet recommends but it has all the "stuff" she is allergic...

Hi everyone. I know I haven't been around in a long time but I thought I'd bring up Zoe's issues.

Miss Zoe has been an expensive pooch these past few months. First, she had an extremely irritated inner ear thing that required sedation, a dose of steroids, ear wash and antibiotics (we also had her teeth cleaned at the same time since that actually made it cheaper!). I think that was April.

I saw a bit on the NY News this evening so did some search on this. It is stem cells injected into the joints... ( will replace hip surgery !!) the cells come from fat taken from the dogs body! Did a full body check on my boxer last night and I found a small lump on her elbow where she has callouses. Kahlua has had 3 surgeries to remove lumps. She has a history of Mast Cell cancer Stage 1 and 2. Last 2 surgeries were nothing. Sebaceous cysts. Didn't get a pathology report I I felt it wasn't needed.
