Bake them for an hour at 350 degrees. Non Diabetic Pet Name: Bearsy Bear Breed: Mini Schnauzer Age 6.5 Weight 27 lbs Snowball diagnosed 10/02 with Diabetes, Ketosis, as well as meningitis, been a tough road. Cataracts have just started, sight limited, going to see eye Dr. next week. Continues to be a wonderful loving guy...and Bear is trying to understand and continues to be his buddy.

Also had a bronchial infection in December but with antibiotics and a higher dose of insulin has recovered well.

Insulin: Novolin (Walmart) NPH - 13 units 2xd Testing: Yes - I use the freestyle at home and it's great! Taffy left for the rainbow bridge on 12-11-07 due to kidney disease. She lived with diabetes for almost six years.

I make up a supplement to add to the dry food: ground turkey, brown rice, oats, broccoli, squash. He loves his veggies! Insulin: 8 units Humulin-N 2 x a day Just diagnosed two weeks ago. Going to the vet tomorrow for the day. He has been doing really good. I am hopeful things will be good. He has two other Griffs at home with him, Scooter (2 1/2 yrs.) and Jezzebelle (2 years). Both are 10 lbs. I am so glad I found you guys. I was very worried about my guy, but feel so much better having read all your helpful, hopeful and supportive messages. Thanks for being there.

Will be checked on April 8th, 2003 for surgical options for cateracts(hopefully will be able to have them removed). Don't do home blood testing (yet). I am considering this - but havent decided if I can do it.

Tasha is a transiet diabetic/hormone induced. When in heat Tasha was an insulin resistant diabetic. She was spayed in March 03 and was taked off insulin as her hormones leveled out at this time she is not diabetic Treats: Broccoli, Peppers, Durango Liver Chiplets and Healthy Essestials made with enzymes and live cultures. Other supplements: None at this time Diagnosed: Oct 2002-Mid November and again in March 2003 (Tasha is a transient diabetic who was not spayed)

She went blind over the weekend due to cataracts. It is very hard to regulate her and i was wondering if you had the same problem. I am getting a little discouraged waking up in the morning with rivers in my kitchen. I do not know how to post on the message board since i am new here..... just hoping for a little support..... thank you and if you would like to email me back i do have hotmail account at panthera_sins@hotmail.com.
